Seasons in Australia

In the Southern Hemisphere (and in Australia), the seasons are reversed from the Northern Hemisphere (Europe, North America ...). Summer extends from December to February and winter from June to August. The Top End (far north of the Northern Territory), Queensland and northern Western Australia know only two seasons: Wet (wet season), which lasts approximately from October to March and the Dry (season dryer), from April to September. Australia has many climatic variations without pay in the extreme. Only Tasmania and the mountainous regions of Victoria and New South Wales are experiencing low temperatures. The El Niño causes cyclically periods of floods and droughts in the country.
